Correct positioning of the switch ”DC at RF IN” switch (RF antenna input voltages)
WARNING:
When operating in CATV networks under voltage (Vac 66/96), ALWAYS isolate the RF antenna input of the instrument using the power switch “DC @ RF IN” on the top (eg Figure 1) or to the side of the instrument (eg Figure 2);
Otherwise, if the external voltage (Vac 66/96) is sent repeatedly and for long periods to the RF input of the instrument while the instrument itself generates 12 VDC, you may damage irreparable the instrument.
